OMAHA, NE – The most dominant collegiate wrestler in the country is about to step into uncharted territory.

Cade Mercer, an NCAA champion and one of the most sought-after prospects in combat sports, is set to make his professional debut at Strike Force Legends. His opponent has yet to be determined, but one thing is certain—this isn’t just another step in his career. It’s a statement.

And if you ask Clayton "The Voice" Reed, the man guiding Mercer’s transition, it’s the only move that makes sense.

"Everyone wants Cade Mercer," Reed told Social X Combat. "MMA promotions, pro wrestling organizations—you name it, they’ve called. But this kid isn’t here to play games. He’s here to prove he’s the real deal, in a real fight. No scripts. No gimmicks. Just dominance."

Mercer’s combination of elite wrestling credentials, freak athleticism, and raw power has already drawn comparisons to some of the sport’s biggest stars. But the leap from amateur wrestling to professional combat is no guarantee of success.

"Some guys ride their hype until the wheels fall off. Cade? He’s not built like that," Reed continued. "He’s built for the grind. The pressure, the expectations—none of it shakes him. When he steps in that cage, it’s going to be the same story as always. He wrestles. He wins. End of discussion."

With Mercer’s pedigree and Strike Force Legends’ high-stakes platform, his debut will be one of the most anticipated fights of the event. But will it be the beginning of an unstoppable rise—or will the bright lights expose the gaps in his game?

Either way, the world is about to find out who Cade Mercer really is.
